Turkey’s steel imports totaled 1 million tons in October, falling by 10% year on year, according to data released by the Turkish Iron and Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).

In October, the country’s steel export revenues totaled US$920 million, decreasing by 6.7% year on year.

In the January-October period, Turkey’s steel imports totaled 12.05 million tons, soaring by 24% year on year.

Meanwhile, the country’s import revenues generated by steel amounted to US$10.48 billion in the first 10 months of this year, rising by 12.8% year on year.
